Definition – What is a Kaizen Event?
A Kaizen event is a five-day focused workshop led by a team leader combining training, data collection, brainstorming, and implementation. Day 1 covers waste training and current process analysis, Day 2 gathers data and identifies bottlenecks, Day 3 brainstorms solutions with visual maps, Day 4 implements changes with minimal disruption, and Day 5 creates follow-up plans and management reports for future improvements.
